An illustrator and painter born in Asturias, Spain, his drawings have appeared mostly in Spanish newspapers and magazines: El País, Diario 16, Cambio 16, etc., as well as in humorous magazines, of note being La Codorniz and El Papus. He has hung paintings in individual and collective exhibitions in Madrid, Barcelona, Salamanca, Barcelona, New York and Panama. A leading graphic humorist capturing urban atmospheres, his book illustrations are famous, such as for "Teoría de Madrid", with texts by Francisco Umbral; "De Moscú a Nueva York", with texts by Ignacio Carrión; "Tiendas y lugares antiguos de Madrid", with texts by various authors; and "La ruta de la plata", a totally graphic work dedicated to Andalusia. In 2005 he illustrated the edition of "Madrid", by Miguel Mihura, republished on the centenary of his birth.
