Born in Barcelona in 1951 and son of an illustrator, the drawings of Toni Batllori were published for the first time on the latest sixties. After starting different studies, he decides to professionally engage in the field of drawing, publishing his first press cartoon in 1973 at "El Noticiero Universal". In 1987, with the appearance of the "Diario de Barcelona", he publishes a daily cartoon until the closing of the newspaper. Currently, since 1995, he contributes to the creation of a cartoon for the Politics Section of "La Vanguardia" and he further collaborates with specialised magazines and illustrates books. He has gathered a number of prizes in acknowledgement for his artistic career, such as the Manuel Sales Prize for his ability to approach the social and politics reality, the Gat Perich Prize and the Junceda Prize of graphic humour.
As a multidisciplinary artist, he is also involved in other areas such as photography, cinema, painting and sculpture, being the latest one the discipline he mostly enjoys after drawing, having a number of sculptures on display at public exhibitions.
