The Sagrada Familia by the architect Antonio Gaudí inspired the artist A. Rodón to create a modern metal letter opener that could be used as an artistic gift for acts and conventions held in the city. The surface was engraved with the image of this universal temple, emphasised by smooth, curved lines reminiscent of the sinuous shapes of modernism. The result was a highly original artistic gift based on the city of Barcelona, in the form of a practical but elegant object.
